Fragments of summer

Summer is leaving us a little more every day. I can feel it in the crisp night air. I have dishes of mismatched summer beads on my desk. I had a handful of pastel briolettes lingering around like the last days of summer. They remind me of the Fragments of Summer.  I had just enough to make a scrumptious bracelet. There are turquoise, apple dyed jade, hot pink and light pink chalcedony, green chalcedony, butterscotch chalcedony, Aqua blue chalcedony, rose quartz, green adventurine, howlite, and swarovski crystals. The clasp is a 14kt gold filled heart toggle. What I really love is how it feels on my wrist. Very comfortable and rich.

Howlite nugget

I've had these cool, funky Howlite nuggets in my desk and I finally decided to make them into pendants. They are dyed a nice yellow/orange color. I added a weave and copper coil to the stone. It is accented with crystal bead and hangs from a crystal ring.

"Midori"

Midori is the Japanese word for "green." I love the color of these Howlite nuggets. They have different shades of greens ranging from lime sherbert to Kelly green. There is also lime faceted glass beads and green swarovski crystals. The color green is also associated with emotions, money, and has healing power. The choker measures approximately 16 inches in length and can be doubled to fit perfectly around the wrist as a bracelet. It has a ornate, silver toned, magnetic clasp which is strong and durable for these chunky nuggets.
