Angelite ring

Another variation of the copper spiral ring. 14 Ga wire was hand shaped and hammered and a patina was added to create a rich bronze color. Finished ring was coated with a lacquer spray. 

All moved to Oklahoma

Phase one of my long move is finished. We finally moved form California to Oklahoma. Boy did we have challenges along the way. One day I plan to share pictures  Everything is still packed away because we are temporarily staying with me son and his family. I am getting acquainted with my grand kids. Two I have never met and one I haven't seen in 5 years. They sure are adorable.  . I can't wait to get back to my work bench and creating again.

faceless lady brooch

Here is another faceless lady in my brooch collection. She has a vintage look with a beautiful antique orange and iridescent  crystal beads.

Copper ring with sea jasper

I've been wanting to make a ring for a long time. This ring is very bold and makes a cool thumb ring. The center of the spiral has a dyed sea jasper bead.added.

Middle Earth

This hand made copper choker is adorned with dyed Serpentine Jasper Sapphire beads. I shaped, swirled and then hammered segments and linked them together to give the piece movement.

Faceless Brooch

I made several of these faceless ladies in wire but never had completely finished them. I decided to turn them into brooches. They look very nice on sweaters and scarves. She has weaved, twisted and hammering techniques The bead is a dyed jade. .

Mosaic Brooch

I decided to turn the black steel wire heart into a brooch/pin. It looks great on my slouchy beret, sweaters and crocheted scarves.  It is made with black oxidized steel wire, copper wire and swarovski crystals.

Recycled brooch

This is one of my favorite chokers to wear. It's a simple, vintage, rhinestone brooch that I made into a choker.

Netted quartz crystal

I custom made this necklace with the stones Carnelian and natural quartz crystal. Carnelian has the metaphysical properties that aid in understanding the inner self and strengthens concentration. It helps one to overcome the ear of public speaking, increases the self worth, and is a fast acting stone to succeed in one's career.
Carnelian is said to assist in stimulating creativity. It seems to have a clearing effect, dispelling negative energies as it replaces them with positive ones. This can make it easier to find   direction, and its grounding effects can make it easier for you to feel in control of your life.

Ancient Egyptians carried it on and about their bodies as a source of constant renewal and vitality. It was also told in the Egyptian Book of the Dead to be placed in tombs as "magic armor" for life after death  This makes carnelian a good stone for people who feel like they are going nowhere. 

Custom earrings

These earrings are made for a fellow jeweler and friend. She requested a pair of the art deco style earrings.

Hand made earring wires

These hand made earring wires  enhance even a simple bead dangle. I used a torch to make rose colored ball headpins. The beads are faceted glass in blue and purple colors.

Earrings to match Egyptian collar

Recently, I  sold my Egyptian collar necklace, Cleopatra for Valentine's Day. The focal cabochon is a large Blue sea, dyed sediment jasper.






My customer requested a matching pair or earrings but, I didn't have any more jasper beads. I designed the earrings and wrapped them in the same Art Deco style. I used a combination wrapping and weaving with copper wire. Torched, rose head pins and an antique bead were added to match the focal pendant.

Sharing the progress on my copper weaved heart. It will hang from a black leather cord.

Large heart

Another unplanned piece underway. All that is needed now is some pretty beads and trinkets to make this mosaic heart complete. The toughest part will be finding the balance. :)

Oh how you've grown up so fast. It seems like yesterday that I'd hold you in my arms everyday when your mom n dad were at work. I'm so happy we are still  close. I love you and am very proud of you. Happy 12th!

Some jewels for Valentine's Day

I've been focusing on Valentine themed jewels for the month of February. The first pair is made from black steel wire and hot pink chalcedony briolettes and pink swarovski crystal beads.

The next pair is also made from black steel wire and amethyst beads are added.

Just a simple little leaf frame in copper wire with rose torched ends.

Taking shape

Well, my pendant is changing. It's one of those projects where I don't have it planned out but am letting the creative process "just happen". I will post pictures as I change it.

Purple swirl beads

I'm still in the middle of this creation. I am really attracted to purple right now. It's such an spiritual color. These glass beads have different colors of purple and white swirling in them. I decided to use black wire. I will share more photos as it progresses.

Valentine projects

It's that time of year..time for romance, love, hearts and gifts. Here are a couple of pictures of projects I'm working on.

Carita

I named them "Carita" after their new owner. These earrings were made by request. I did alter them slightly from the original pair. They are weaved with copper wire and then darkened to a rich bronze. Green, faceted glass beaded were added.
