These twisted wire necklaces are always fun. The possibilities are endless. I have always loved the combination of purples and reds together. It has a somewhat of a "Bohemian feel" and the colors look so rich and royal. I used amethyst nuggets, dyed jade and dyed coral beads. There are purple crystals scattered through out the necklace.
I like these two colors together so
ReplyDeleteGreat combinaton of colors!!!

I am so jelous now! Everytime I try to work the wire in this way I end up with very bad results and lot of wire to throw away. I think I will sit here watching your photo trying to understand what I am doing wrong. I can only learn from your necklace.
ReplyDeleteDon't stress, wire can be tricky. The cool thing about this style is that it's pretty much freeform. There are a variety of ways you can make this. If making one long necklace is too difficult, you can make it in segments and then attach them together ;)
ReplyDeleteMost importantly, have fun creating :)
Blessings,
Terry
Thank you for your kind words Terry and for the hint! Next time I will try making small segments. I told you, I can only learn from your technique. :)
ReplyDeleteAmbra
Ambra, here's is an example of segments being mad and then attached. Combining different beads and shapes gives you a "freeform" look. :)
