Creative Evolution

I’m sure, I’m not alone when it comes to growing and changing creatively. Once again, I am evolving. I have been noticing my jewelry designing and interests taking a new direction. While I LOVE making jewelry to wear, I think, I love the creating more. My jewelry doesn’t fall into the traditional, conservative looking jewelry. Before I jumped into jewelry and wire wrapping, I loved to paint. It’s the colors and shapes that interest me. Lately, my pieces seem to be getting bigger and bolder. Sometimes, they’re just too big to wear..haha This has got me wondering if maybe I should venture into bigger scaled things. I’m guessing that would fall into the sculpture and abstract art. My close friends know my challenges but those who don’t, I deal with some health issues..nothing life threatening, thank goddess and god but, more challenging mentally and physically. With the help of some good Dr.s, supporting friends and family, I’ve learned to how to find a way to deal with and manage pain on a daily basis. Art is an outlet, my therapy and a wonderful way to heal the body and the soul.

Happy Creating and much blessings,
Terry

Chalcedony earrings

I am very pleased with how these earrings turned out. I got the wonderful tut online from Nancy Wickman They are from  her woven earrings tutorial.   I did change them up a little bit and added  yummy blue chalcedony briolettes. They are very long and swingy. :) Check out Nancy Wickman's blog at

Masquerade

Masks are always so mysterious and intriguing.  I made this mini masquerade mask from copper wire. After drawing out different sections on paper, I began to shape the components with different gauges of wire. I used 20 Ga., 21 Ga., 26 Ga. and 28 Ga. I decorated it with yellow glass beads, silver glass seed beads and swarovski crystals. It measures 4 inches by 2 inches. In fact, it fits perfectly over my little doggie's eyes. :)

Breezy hoops

These hoops are handmade from copper wire. Hoops are fun and easy to make. I used my deodorant to make their oval shape. :)Inside i attached an aqua blue shell bead. There's a lot of movement and dangle.

Helena

Helena is a mosaic pendant, I made from copper wire. The pendant is coiled and weaved and then wrapped with swarovski crystals. The cameo/goddess is a brass button. I am fond of the look of mixed metals.

Crystal kitty

I made this fat kitty from copper wire and filled her up with iridescent crystals. She really sparkles.I used my torch to make rose colored ball head pins to shape her eyes. She wears a little red glass tear drop in the middle of her forehead. I would say she is a bit of a princess.
